Advisor to Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz provincial president Engr Amir Muqam on Saturday said the federal government has initiated several mega projects for the welfare of people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Inaugurating the newly constructed Takht Bhai flyover in district Mardan, he said PTI did not fulfill its promises made in its election manifesto.

He said PTI government has failed to launch any mega project in the province during the last four years. While on other side the federal government has been working on various mega projects for the uplift of the province. Muqam said that today the construction work on the much-delayed Takht Bhai Flyover at Railway crossing Nowshehra-Chitral Highway (N-45) has been completed. The 500 meter-long Takht Bhai Flyover had been completed at a cost of Rs one billion.

Amir Muqam held the PTI-led government in KP responsible for the delay in the construction of the flyover. He said that the provincial government had assured federal government of support in the construction of the flyover and later started creating hurdles in its construction.

It is pertinent to be mentioned here construction work on the flyover was started in February, 2013 which was scheduled to be completed by August, 2014. Muqam further said that PTI leadership was direction less and that's why it had happened to launch any mega project in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A number of PML-N workers along with district Mardan office-bearers and the party MPA Jamshed Mohmand attended the inauguration ceremony. He said that PML-N leadership would continue serving the people of the province wholeheartedly.
